THREE YEARS, TWO CONTINENTS,
ONE HYPER-GT READY
TO PERFORM
To conclude a three-year testing process that also included Germany, Italy and inner Mongolia, Lotus took Emeya to the Arctic Circle, where temperatures plunged as low as -13°F.
Deep inside the Arctic Circle
Winter 2024. 155 miles inside the Arctic Circle. With Lotus engineers at the wheel, the Emeya completes a three-year programme of intense testing and development.
From twisty Alpine passes to the famed Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany, Emeya’s testing process has been vigorous. Our Hyper-GT has had to prove itself in intense heat, on the track, and on various road surfaces in all kinds of conditions.
But the Arctic Circle is something else. With temperatures dipping below -13°F, this ultra-remote, ice-coated testing ground is as challenging as it gets.
What do extreme weather tests cover?
EMEYA’S TESTING AND
DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
Controlled testing
With four-wheel drive providing serious grip, plus a number of driver assistance systems, Emeya demonstrates superior levels of stability and control, even on ice and snow. Sub-zero degrees? Zero compromise.
YOUR COMPOSED
ALL-WEATHER COMPANION
Supreme stability
With four-wheel drive providing serious grip, plus a number of driver assistance systems, Emeya demonstrates superior levels of stability and control, even on ice and snow. Sub-zero degrees? Zero compromise.
Remote climate control
Freezing temperatures? Warm the cabin before you get in with climate control via the Lotus app. Set the overall temperature, and heat the seats and steering wheel. Tried and tested in the heart of the Arctic.
Resilient battery performance
EV battery performance is known to be highly variable in extreme cold. Thousands of hours of cold-weather testing have proven Emeya’s performance to be consistent at the highest level, even at this latitude.
Bespoke winter tyres
Bespoke winter tyres from Lotus are designed to keep Emeya handling as it should — with grip, finesse and sporting intent — in the depths of winter, on the most challenging road surfaces.
