Quality standards are at the core of the Lotus Global EV Production Centre’s operations. The state-of-the-art Coordinate Measuring Machine Laboratory precisely inspects the geometric characteristics of a randomly selected vehicle every day. More than 2,400 feature points are assessed in detail to ensure the strictest levels of quality at every level.

Individual car bodywork panels are stamped from a single piece of metal. The Lotus Global EV Production Centre features the world's leading automatic high-speed servo panel-stamping lines. Its five-step sequencing ensures the utmost accuracy and consistency in crafting bodywork panels – so every design detail is absolutely perfect.

ECOLOGICAL
BY DESIGN

The Lotus Global EV Production Centre showcases Lotus’ intention to increase energy efficiency and reduce emissions. Various energy conservation and emission reduction technologies are operational, including a dry carton spray booth design, photovoltaic power generation, waste gas incineration, rainwater collection, wastewater recycling, and waste heat utilisation.

By the end of 2025, the whole vehicle
manufacturing process will use 100% sustainably
sourced electricity.

RACING HERITAGE

The Lotus Hethel factory is famously built around an RAF airfield test track – where every Lotus car was put through its paces over the years. Wuhan carries this racing spirit into the future, with an integrated race track, which can simulate a variety of real-world driving conditions.
