THE FORMULA ONE LEGEND
79 championship race wins. 7 constructor’s titles. 6 World Drivers’ Champions. The collection of accolades is a compelling testament to the Lotus legacy in Formula One.
But it’s only part of the story.
When Colin Chapman entered the world’s most prestigious racing competition, he didn’t just want to finish first. He wanted to win in ways previously unimaginable. And so he did. With groundbreaking cars that revolutionised racing and captured the imagination of fans, critics and competitors.
THE POWER OF ‘12’
Emira Limited. 12 editions per livery. Launched on the 12th of the 12th at 12pm. Available in 12 European countries.
It all leads back to the iconic race number ‘12’ of Team Lotus. The number that marks the bond between a revolutionary driver and a revolutionary team. Making it the only possible starting position for our Formula One tribute.
OUR CONTINUED QUEST
Each livery is limited to just 12 cars. Keeping the legacy alive, from the championship-winning Type 25 to the last Lotus to win a Grand Prix. In the only way that does these cars justice: by bringing them back on the road.
A celebration and continuation of what sets Lotus apart from the rest. Our relentless quest for the perfect driver-car connection.
THE HEIR
Lotus Emira is a direct descendant of its track-bred ancestors. The impact of which you’ll understand the moment you connect with the road, when confidence and exhilaration take turns at the wheel.
Lightweight chassis, all-round double wishbone suspension, intelligent aerodynamic design, inline-four turbocharged engine and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The Emira puts the driver at the centre of attention - just as Chapman envisioned.
The foundation of every Limited model remains pure Emira - the most accomplished Lotus sports car ever made. Boasting supercar looks, second-to-none performance, stunning interior and premium comfort.
EMIRA. HANDMADE IN HETHEL
The Emira is truly designed for the drivers. Its hydraulically powered steering feel and signature suspension ensure comfort, feedback and precise handling at all times.
Enhanced by the ultimate in-car experience, where ergonomic interfaces, tactile instruments and high resolution displays give you an unprecedented level of control and luxury.
The limited edition liveries serve as the ultimate finishing touch.

TYPE 99T
INSPIRED BY TYPE99T
The vibrant yellow with distinct blue details transport you right back into 1987. The racing season in which Team Lotus clinched its final Formula One victory.
Blue accents on the front and side air intakes. The iconic number ‘12’. The LOTUS signature on the rear spoiler. Together they transfer the rebellious spirit of its famous predecessor to this Emira Limited.

TYPE 99T
LAST TEAM LOTUS WIN
The Type 99T is considered to be Colin Chapman’s last great Formula One innovation. A powerful one-two between computer-controlled ‘active’ suspension and Honda’s powerful turbo engine.
A true gift for a driver like Senna, who gladly unwrapped the increased cornering speed and boosted top speed on the straights. He was victorious at Monaco and in the Detroit Grand Prix.
COLOURS OF LEGACY
Yesteryear’s racing colours travel through decades like brushstrokes. All 5 liveries instantly evoke emotions with each stripe and accent - meticulously applied by hand. Modern craftsmanship respectfully saluting its heritage.
ONE OF 12
5 legendary liveries - crafted in series of 12. A tribute to the iconic racing number from Team Lotus. Each Emira Limited will forever be only one of 12. A continuation of a long-lasting legacy, immortalised with this mark of distinction.
EMIRA LIMITED BADGE
The Emira Limited models are in a league of their own. Amplified by the Lotus Black Badge. And the exclusive EMIRA Limited badge. A mark of authenticity. A guarantee of rarity. A promise of excellence.
EMIRA LIMITED INSPIRED BY TYPE 97T
This is more than a tribute to Type 97T. It’s a declaration of love. One of the most memorable liveries in Formula One history, returning today in the Emira Limited models.
Shadow Grey bodywork adorned with precision gold stripes, golden rims boosting confidence, while red brake calipers subtly match with the Union Jack decal on the front wings. Next to it the number ‘12’ - painted in gold.
TYPE 97T SENNA’S MAIDEN WIN
Senna's first Lotus. Eight pole positions. Two wins. The 97T represented precision engineering at its finest and proved to be robust and powerful. It holds a special place in Formula history as the car in which Senna scored his first-ever – and most epic – GP victory in atrociously wet conditions at Estoril.
On that day, driver and car became one. And didn’t just race, but danced, in a league of their own.
EMIRA LIMITED INSPIRED BY TYPE 86
Lotus Type 86. The one-off, revolutionising prototype with its striking ‘ESSEX’ livery. This Emira Limited comes in beautiful royal blue, with red and silver stripes on each side. Front bumper, rear diffuser and lettering all in the same stylish silver.
The front wings show the Type 86’s number 11, while the LOTUS brand name on the rear is the crown on this edition. A car for the connaisseurs.
TYPE 86 THE ONE THAT COUNTS FOR TWO
In 1980 Lotus kicked off the decade in style, by revolutionising Formula One once again. Chapman introduced the racing world to the twin chassis Type 86 - which served as the prototype for the revolutionary Lotus 88.
The genius solution behind the twin-concept was to have two sprung bodies. The inner chassis took care of the driver and suspension, while the outer chassis optimised the aerodynamics of the car.
EMIRA LIMITED INSPIRED BY TYPE 78
The Type 78 was highly successful, and looked magnificent doing it. The Emira Limited echoes the same grandeur. Breathtaking dark grey body paint, complemented by golden lines. A striking red front splitter highlights the homage to the revolutionary underfloor wing of its namesake.
Race number 5 painted on the side, next to the trademark half Union Jack, while gold and red details are carried over to the calipers and rims.
TYPE 78 THE WORLD’S FIRST WING CAR
In 1977 Colin Chapman reaffirmed his title as Formula One’s main man with the first ‘wing’ car ever. Its revolutionary ground effect fundamentally changed the core principles of engineering, to this very day.
Mario Andretti claimed 4 Grands Prix wins in the Type 78. But it was gold galore the next season, with the perfected Type 79. Andretti became World Champion, and delivered four 1-2 finishes with Ronnie Peterson for Lotus.
EMIRA LIMITED INSPIRED BY TYPE 25
Vintage racing reborn. The Dark Verdant Green body with the painted Hethel Yellow stripe transports you through time to the tracks where Lotus obliterated the competition.
The subtle signature of ‘Team Lotus’ featured on each side of the car, officially adding these limited editions as honorary members of the team that reigned between 1962 and 1965.
TYPE 25 THE REVOLUTION
The first-ever Formula One car with a monocoque. It was the blueprint that changed Formula One forever. And the slimmest racing car the world had ever seen, engineered completely around the driver.
Jim Clark dominated the track in the Type 25 with 14 Grand Prix wins and the 1963 Driver’s Championship. Proving Lotus wasn’t just an innovative racing team, but a winning one. And they’d only just begun.
